These terms apply to Sextant Web, a service of Basil Design Company LLC (“we”). When you use Sextant Web, you agree to them.
Sextant Web shows website analytics and SEO data for the sites you add. It runs analytics with Umami and SEO tools with OpenSEO, which we host for you.
You sign in with an email link or with Google. Keep access to your email and your Google account secure. You are responsible for what happens in your account and for the people you invite.
You may add only sites that you own or that you have permission to measure. You must tell your visitors about the analytics on your site as the law where you operate requires. You own your data. We process it only to run the service for you.
Each site is on the Free plan or the Pro plan ($5 a month). Each plan has monthly limits for events and recordings, and Pro sites can pay for extra use up to the caps that the payer sets. Research (paid SEO lookups) costs the provider’s price times our markup, up to the site’s research cap. The person who upgrades a site pays for it. We bill through Stripe at the end of each month for extra use. Fees are not refundable, except where the law requires a refund.
Do not use Sextant Web to break the law, to send events you did not collect from real visitors, to overload the service, to get around limits, or to access data that is not yours. We can pause a site or close an account that breaks these rules.
Agents and API keys act as you, within your level on each site. You are responsible for what they do. Keep keys secret and revoke a key that you no longer use.
We work to keep the service available, but we do not promise that it never stops. We can change features and these terms. When a change is important, we tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect.
The service is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or lost-profit damages, and our total liability is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
You can delete your sites and your account at any time. When you delete a site, we delete its analytics and SEO data. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, USA.
